50 Percent Of Murdered Women Are Killed By Their Partners – UN Deputy

The UN Deputy Secretary General, Amina Muhammed said that almost half of the murdered women world wide were killed by their current partners or ex-partners.

Mrs Amina said this at the launch of new partnership between the EU and UN in Brussels – Belgium, a crucial tool to fight violence against girls and women.

While addressing the European Development, the UN Deputy Chief said that in a few countries, ‘’Spotlight will be based on the most supreme form of violence – killing women and girls.

In most cases, regarding such murders, women have managed to report to the police station or seeking for medication, according to Allafrica.

The UN Deputy Chief, continued and said women do not fully take part in decision – making, as a cause to global outbreak of violence against girls and women.
