Blue Wave was incorporated in May 2002, Blue Wave is an established organization that provides bottled drinking water in wide range of packing of 600ml. 1000ml, 1500ml, 3000ml, 5000ml, 11.5L and 18.9L. The quality of the water meets the standards of Uganda Bureaus of Standard (UNBS 42:2008). The company is also certified by ISO9001-2008. –

The landlocked East African country, Uganda, is home to the highest mountain range in Africa (the Rwenzoris or ‘Mountains of the Moon’) and is the source of the mighty Nile. It also has the world’s highest concentration of primates, including the majestic mountain gorilla. Uganda is bordered by Kenya, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania.
Coca-Cola Sabco (CCS) secured Century Bottling Company Limited (CBC) in 1995.
CBC has two plants, one in Mbarara and one in Namanve, Kampala, which has since set new standards for bottling operations in Uganda. CBC has 664 employees.
CBC celebrates the following events and achievements:
Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni opened its new bottling facility at Mbarara in western Uganda in 1998.
In 2000, its Kampala plant became the first bottling plant in the East Africa Region to be awarded The Coca-Cola Quality System (TCCQS) Phase 1 certification.
In 2001, its impressive new plant in Namanve, just outside the capital city Kampala, was opened by Ugandan president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
In 2002, Uganda was awarded the Country of the Year Award. It also received two quality awards (including the first TCCQS Phase 2 accreditation outside of South Africa), as well as an Investor of the Year Award and a People Development Award from the Uganda Investment Authority.
In 2002, CBC’s Kampala plant received the eKO Green Star Environment Award.
That same year, the Mbarara plant received the Bronze Quality Award.
In September 2003, Uganda became the first country in Africa to achieve full TCCQS Phase 1, 2 and 3 accreditation in all its plants.
In 2003, the only gold award presented by Coca-Cola Southern and East Africa for the entire Division went to CBC in Kampala.
In 2007, the recently-revamped Kampala plant celebrated five Gold Awards from The Coca-Cola Company.
In 2009, Uganda was awarded the Silver Award for Employer of the Year.
In 2011, Uganda received the Gold Awards for Employer of the Year; the CEOs Award for Excellence in Business; the Sales and Marketing Excellence Award as well as the People’s Choice Award, Best Soda.
In 2012, the plant received the Best Soda, KACITA Quality Award and the Best Soda, People’s Choice Award.
In 2013, Uganda was awarded the Group Touch Award for the Best Community Project. While in the same year, they were awarded the CSR Award in the Category of Community Involvement and Development; they were also the CBC Gold Award Winner for Quality Awards by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards. Uganda also commissioned the PET Line on 23rd April 2013 which was presided over by the President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
In 2014, the plant won the Employer of the Year Award 2013/2014 as well as the People’s Choice Award 2013/2014.
Century Bottling Company: Ugandans enjoy Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Fanta Orange, Fanta Pineapple, Fanta Strawberry, Sprite, Krest, Stoney, Novida, Minute Maid, Dasani, Schweppes Tonic Water, and Schweppes Soda Water.
GBK Dairy Products (U) Ltd started operations in 1996, It processed 5000L per day in plastic pouches(3 months shelf life), in 1998 pouches were replaced by Tetra Paks( 3 & 8 months shelf life).
Currently,G.B.K processes 50,000L per day of which 45,000L is U.H.T branded Classic in 500 and 250 ml and 5,000L branded Classic yoghurt in 500, 250 and 150 ml.
In 2009, G.B.K ventured into Mineral water processing at a capacity of 45,000L per day using Reverse Osmosis, Ozonation and UV treatment in 600 and 1.5 ml branded G.B.K Water.
In 2010, G.B.K ventured into Natural juices in Tetra Paks branded Victoria Juices at a capacity of 20,000L per day in 500 and 250 ml.
G.B.K has realized significant growth since its inception with more projects in the offing in a 20 year projection, thus efforts are under way for all companies to trade under G.B.K Group of Companies.
