“These types had increased the production of this crop to make Nigeria the largest producer of cassava in the world with an annual output of 45 million metric tons”, he said.

According to him, flour mills are being encouraged to replace at least 10per cent high quality cassava flour for wheat flour. He welcomed Master Bakers for their positive response to Government’s policy towards this direction.

He said that Federal Government would support its demand for its action of high quality cassava flour in bread in the country. In other African countries like Uganda, cassava is one of the favourable crop to grow, majority of farmers in rural areas know that this crop is easy to grow where by it doesnot require alot of input, such as daily rutine watering and it also grows in a shortest period. You can boil it, just within few minutes, you are done, you can also decide to cry it like irish potatoe chips.

Its problem can be when it becomes bitter, you wont be able to enjoy it and also it can make you to begin sleeping during working hours and that is if you over eat it.
