Chinese New Year 2016 Is Known As The Year Of Red Fire Monkey

Chinese new year celebration is very different compared to other’s and according to Chinese solar and lunar calendar which is represented by one of the 12 animals of Chinese zodiac signs, their new year is usually celebrated between late January and mid February. 2016 is known as the Year of the Red Fire Monkey and will take place in spring festival on Monday – 8th February.

Chinese new year is one of the biggest festival among the Chinese communities across the world and for this year 2016 will start on the night of the second new moon of the winter solstice and the celebrations will last for 15 days.

2016 is reportedly believed that it will be blazing and bright simply because it will be the year of the Red Fire Monkey which will give both light and heat. The Chinese will put on red and gold colors during their celebration which is a sign of luck in 2016.

The year of Red fire monkey represents number nine

This is said to be related with adventure, activity, smartness and ambition, nine is an important number according to Chinese zodiac, however, four and six are also lucky numbers.

The Chinese New Year will be celebrated on 8 February 2016 – the year of the Red Fire Monkey.
