However, the recent Interpol certificate was easy to be forged by some individuals, according to Vincent Ssekate, the Interpol spokesperson.

The new redesigned certificate has quite a number of features which includes a bar code that makes it hard to be forged and it can be differentiated from the one which is forged, ‘’Ssekate added.

Ssekate continued and said the Interpol directorate started issuing the newly designed certificates in May 2018.

This new certificate of good conduct issued by IInterpol Uganda is now being signed by the director of Interpol different from the old one which was being signed by any police officer.

The issuance of this certificate helps police to increase revenue from all those requesting for it specifically those seeking for employment with NGOs and those going abroad for work.

This certificate of good conduct costs only 64,000shs and police managed to collect more than shs 2 billion in 2017 from people who applied and acquired the certificate.
