President Museveni urged religious leaders to glue to their responsibilities of preaching the gospel to the people and not to mix in the national politics.
Museveni said this when he met religious leaders at the state house Entebbe yesterday (Tuesday).
The president was meeting the religious leaders through their union Inter-Religious Council of Uganda headed by their chairman Shiekh Shaban Mubajje.
He said: “Am tired of being taught of how to rule Uganda by religious leaders. Put your aim and effort on developmental ideas. He advised them”
He told the Religious Leaders that they shouldn’t be preaching in support of political position because such preaching confuses the congregation. Therefore they should him to do his part.
Of recently, president Museveni has been attacked by different religious leaders advising him to retire thus giving others the opportunity to lead Uganda.
