Uganda, Kenya, Eritrea and Rwanda Given New World Bank Director

The world bank has officially appointed Jaramillo Felipe as their new regional director for Uganda, Kenya, Eritrea and Rwanda, effective 1st June 2018, according to Capital FM.

Felipe is an extrovert Senior Director of the World Bank Group’s Trade, Macroeconomics and investment Global Practice ( MTI ) where he headed a team of more than 450 economists globally.

From the year 2002 when he joined the W.Bank, Felipe also served as the Country Director  for two terms in Caribbean Region and Latin America.

Felipe worked in public service  of the Colombian government before joining World Bank, he was holding offices in Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Finance and the Central bank.

Under his administration, the W.Bank will endure supporting comprehensive growth and poverty alleviation through a wide range of technical assistance and financial products.

Felipe Jaramillo replaces Gaye Diarietou who was assigned as the Director of the World Bank’s Operations and Strategy for the Region of Africa.
