Ugandan Patrick Cheptoek Wins Knoxville marathon

Ugandan Patrick Cheptoek Wins Knoxville marathon’s Half Marathon 2015 in USA, Patrick Cheptoek 26, who lives in Bowling green KY, won Knoxville Marathon’s half marathon 2015 on Sunday morning, he ran for western Kentucky.

Patrick Cheptoek made it to the final point after 1 hour, 6 minutes and 44 seconds ahead of Biwott who was second ( 1:07: 49 ) , Brown taking the third position ( 1:07:27 ) and the fourth was Coffey Ethan ( 1:10; 46 ).

Cheptoek took the lead from the beginning followed by Brown and Biwott in the men’s race, in the beginning the race was pretty fast but when they reached three miles, many dropped out and they remained the pack of three people. “said Cheptoek”.

The 27 years old Ethiopian born Shitaye Gemechu won the women’s half marathon in ( 1:18:39 ). The second, third and fourth come from Knoxville, Elizabeth Herndon (1:22:30), Kacey Nobert (1:24:23), Allison Maurer (1:27:10) and Michelle Morin (1:27:37).

Patrick Cheptoek is a Ugandan runner who graduated from Western Kentucky University, he traveled all the way from Kentucky to Knoxville just to take part in this competition.
