80 Sacked By New Boss Kagina At UNRA (Uganda National Road Authority)

Kagina Catherine Allen the new executive director of the Uganda National Road Authority (UNRA) has taken her first step as she said that she is to improve the standards of the union and also end corruption within the body, when she was chosen as the new boss of the union in April this year, she has begun by sacking 80 people and this is to allow effectiveness and efficiency of the Authority.

The UNRA board agreed with her actions and has started by advertising all the positions of the affected departments and the affected parties are to leave the Authority on 30th June this year.

We hope what Kagina is doing is the right thing!

Areas affected within the departments are Procurement, Internal audit, Information Technology (IT), Finance and several engineers in operations and projects, but also staff under these departments are free to re-apply though 30 senior staff in audit and procurement departments have already been issued with notices that their contracts will not be under consideration for renewal.
