WhatsApp Hits 900Million Monthly Users Today

The facebook owned messaging service WhatsApp has today crossed 900 million monthly active users and it’s the company’s monthly active user number update time according to Jan Koum, the WhatsApp Co-founder / CEO who is now the board member of facebook.

It’s a big progress to the company, four months ago, WhatsApp reached 800 million users, after four months period more 100 million active users have joined the popular messaging service making it 900 million as of now, facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg said there will be a number of way to monitize if the messaging App hits one billion users and we hope it will maintain its growth,” hopefully the company might start making money by charging its users some small and affordable annual fee.

Facebook bought WhatsApp for $19 billion last year.

But before, the messaging App company charged an annual fee of $1.00 per each user but one year was given free, however, when facebook bought the company, the business model was dropped, perhaps this time around facebook will come up with new charges.
