374 Ugandans Win 2020 Green Cards, Slightly Lower Than Last Year

The United States Department has finally released the number of Ugandans who won the DV-2020 Diversity Visa commonly known as Green Card Lottery.

Only 374 Ugandans won, which is slightly lower compared to the one of 2018 where 485 Ugandans won the Diversity visa.

The lucky Ugandans were among 14,722,798 applicants from all over the globe who managed to participate in the DV-2020 lottery.

Early this week, the State Department published a list of Green Card winners for each country adding that the total number of 83,884 applicants around the world won the lottery and they are now free to apply for Immigrant visa (Green Card).

This time around Egypt won the most immigrant visas with the total number of 5,568 winners, then Russia follows with 5,118, Democratic Republic of Congo in the third place with 4,743 and Iran in the fourth place with 4,101 winners.

The United States Diversity Visa Program is a US government lottery which helps citizens of other countries to receive permanent resident card.

For those who won DV-2020 registered online between 3rd October 2018 and 6th November 2018.
