The ideology of Cuban doctors coming to Uganda was not approved by our local doctors and the natives in the country.

However, Jane Ruth Aceng the health minister said that the importation of the doctors in Uganda is a feature of both Uganda and Cuba. “Though the doctor’s coming has been misinterpreted hence blown out of proportion,” Ruth also said.

She continued and said that Uganda is in urgent need of Expatriate Doctors to handle patients that portray extreme   complications especially in rural areas.

Aceng also said that the government has failed to magnet local professional Doctors to the remote areas hence importing the doctors.

She further said: “Of course there are where the government has failed to retain the local doctors due to unimproved Schools and ICT Labs for research but the Cubans are willing to go there.”
