7 billion is Lost Every Year Due To Ghost Teachers

Government loses 7billion every year due to ghost teachers. Officials from the education service led by their chairperson Sam Luboga revealed. Apparently, these teachers fraudulently got into the whole process of getting on the government payroll. Research shows that Teso region has the highest number of ghost teachers.

Sam Luboga confirmed that some teachers are using fake appointment letters from unknown sources. This has made the process of getting them even harder because they did this smartly. What is not yet known is whether some of these teachers are those who are already signed on payroll or they are just other people from outside the profession.

Due to this, the committee needs 6billion to recruit about 2300 teachers. Part of this money will be used to validate over 3000 appointments and grant study leave to 50 personnel. They will also use this money to redesignate 50 appointments and also regularise 50 appointments.

This is a very alarming case because it means taxpayers money is being misused. It is upon this committee to work around the process to ensure that they deal with this case. Authorities should arrest and shame those they find guilty. Our education system needs a lot of rearrangement and this money could help instead of letting corrupt people waste it.
