A Tougher Lockdown Is Necessary To Fight The Pandemic- Kiiza Besigye

Former FDC president and opposition strong man Dr Kiiza Besigye has come out to suggest how a tough lockdown would be vital in fighting the deadly coronavirus. Besigye who was appearing on NBS TV Morning Breeze program said that this move would be key but unfortunately the government can’t implement it well.

“A tougher lockdown would be necessary but the reason they can’t lock down is that they have no capacity to maintain people locked down,” Besigye said.

Kiiza Besigye added that people should be vigilant because the virus does not discriminate but rather affects everyone.

“As an individual, you must become vigilant. These measures of reducing the virus are important. Avoid people unless you must.” Besigye added.

Besigye being a professional medical doctor talked about the numerous herbs that people have resorted to using.

He said that these if well managed can help in boosting a person’s immunity to fight the virus.

“What you call the concoction are natural ingredients that build the capacity of your body to fight. That concoction is something well-considered and has been researched. I am telling you what I am because I can defend it.” Besigye concluded.

The country is going through a fatal second wave of covid 19. This has claimed a number of lives besides living thousands of people infected.

People are advised to continue observing the ministry of health SOPs put in place and to get vaccinated.
