Another Presidential Address, Total Lockdown Expected

The President is set to address the nation today and he probably may tighten or loosen some things. With the rising cases of Covid though, we doubt any kind of loosening in the directives he gave recently.

Museveni will be live on all radio and TV stations at 8:00pm. There have been rumors of a total lock down on top of all the frustration going on.

Meanwhile, as the public we have a lot of expectations besides the rumors of lockdown. The president should address the issue of high covid charges.

He clearly has the authority to do something and he is in a very good position. It is absurd for people to spend that high amount of money on a disease that is still pressing the world.

Even the health workers issues should be addressed before they get out of hand. Health workers said they don’t have enough material to use while treating Civic patients. This is definitely putting them at risk of contracting the virus.

Some of the health workers have actually put down tools that spell alarm in the country. Unfortunately, a great number of health workers have contracted the virus.

Leaving that aside, the task force has been proposing a 14 day total lockdown. This may entail, closure of public transport. Curfew may probably be at 7:00pm.

Whether this is a good idea, we are not sure because when you look at both sides, they are right and wrong. A lockdown right now spells danger for the economy but may be good for the health sector.
