Be Loyal And Patriotic, Gen. Muhoozi To CID Officers

Gen. David Muhoozi, the minister of State for Internal Affairs, has urged the CID officers to be loyal and patriotic. On top of this, he said they should understand and promote the goals of the government in keeping law and order.

He says the officers can do this by also maintaining peace and stability, to foster socio-economic development and transformation.

Gen. Muhoozi says the officers chose a good calling but there are a lot of expectations.

“This is a good calling you have chosen, but one with lots of expectations. The challenge to you is to either be as tall as the expectations we have in you, of erasing the trust deficit in CID and Police generally and being the seeds for a respectable, accountable, effective and professional CID/ police force,” he said.

He urged the officers to uphold discipline while doing their work.

“You need to be disciplined; you need to be ideologically clear. You need to be patriotic and loyal to your country, be smart and curious,” said Muhoozi.

Gen. David Muhoozi made the remarks while paying a courtesy visit to CID headquarters in Kibuli. He met all the heads of departments and regional CID officers. He encouraged them to keep fighting crimes to make Uganda a better place.

In other new recently reported by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, the State Minister for Internal Affairs Gen Muhoozi David said the ongoing acts of murder in greater Masaka is an attempt at spreading terror among the population.
