Bobi Wine Attacks Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba Over Andrew Mwenda’s Military Attire

NUP leader Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine and the first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba are always not seeing eye to eye. The two keep stinging each other whenever an opportunity presents itself.

Bobi Wine though has been on the hitting end and this time criticized Gen Muhoozi over journalist Andrew Mwenda‘s wearing of military attire.

The political circles went up in flames a few days ago after Mwenda appeared in a military uniform and chopper.

Mwenda who was seemingly speaking on behalf of the military had many people questioning how possible this was for a civilian.

The military also came out and said that it was investigating how the journalist wore the attire and accessed a chopper.

Muhoozi however came out to defend Mwenda saying that he was just mesmerized by the Army’s work.

“My bro Mwenda is part of the massive fan base that UPDF has because of the great work we do. They want to wear our uniforms, hold our guns and even pretend to fly our aircraft. It means nothing. They are just excited beings. A victorious army like ours is used to such adoration,” Muhoozi said.

This saw Bobi Wine attack Muhoozi saying the military arrested hundreds of supporters of NUP for wearing a red beret. He also added that they even tortured some to permanent deformities.

However, it was now a surprise to see ‘Museveni’s son’ defending his friend Mwenda for wearing a military uniform.

The former MP added that no government entity will look into the matter since Muhoozi has spoken.

“Hundreds of our supporters are in prison over a year. Some tortured to permanent deformity. Others executed in cold blood. Their crime? Putting on a red beret! Museveni’s son now responds to demands that his friend Mwenda is held to account for wearing a full military combat!

With this tweet, he closes the case. No gov’t entity will dare speak about it again. Muhoozi simply says, ‘I am the state, the state is me.’ The impunity! The fate of despots who have behaved in this barbaric manner is well known. Sadly, none ever learns from those before!” Kyagulanyi shot back.

A Twitter war has basically been looming between the pair and their fans for some time now.
