Bobi Wine traveled a few weeks back to Jamaica where he spread his political movement known as ”People Power” which invokes the authority of grassroots opinion and willpower as well as seeking for justice from the Jamaican people, who are known for supporting whoever talks about fairness.

Last week, the “Kyarenga” singer Bobi Wine was with the Jamaica’s Prime Minister whom they shared much about prosperity. From then on, the Kyadondo East MP flew to United States and had a serious discussion with the Leader Of Civil Rights Movement, Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr.

he people we are up against draw inspiration from violent movements, which is why they resort to violence at every opportunity. As #PeoplePower, we draw inspiration and counsel from non-violent movements, which is why we despise and shun violence even when provoked. It was therefore an absolute honor and pleasure to meet with and hold a discussion with the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr, a towering leader of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States, who worked very closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in the fight against injustice, poverty and discrimination. I told him how we are encouraged by their example to soldier on daily, through trials and tribulations, in our quest for freedom, justice and equal opportunity. It was humbling and uplifting to pray with him, for our country Uganda and the continent of Africa. Such a historic encounter. We shall certainly overcome!

The statement above was written by Bobi Wine on his Facebook age.
