Bobi Wine Congratulates William Ruto Of Kenya, Faces Back Lash From Public

Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine is facing a barrage of backlash from the public after he congratulated William Ruto for being declared the official president-elect of Kenya after court rejected Raila Odinga’s malpractice claims.

Shortly after the declaration, Bobi Wine ran to his social media to express his happiness for William Ruto.

“I congratulate the President-Elect of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. @WilliamsRuto. Throughout the campaigns, the election and the Election Petition, Kenya has proven that its democracy has come of age. The Region has many lessons to learn. I congratulate the great people of Kenya.”

Most of the people didn’t seem to like the message because they saw it as hypocrisy. Tweeps claim they all know who Bobi Wine was supporting in the race.

Within no minute photos of Bobi Wine and Raila Odinga surfaced on Twitter. The politician was so quickly accused of behaving like a chameleon and being an attention seeker every opportunity he finds.

“If I remember very well, you didn’t want to know anything about @WilliamsRuto, so have you changed sides? Stay with your colleagues who lose in everything,” a one Atim Skylar commented.

“Your association & support for Raila Odinga was wrong, principally. It went against the norms you advocated for. Powerful men shouldn’t conspire to impose a man on the country. Never! A man born in the ghetto shd have equal chance at the presidency like one born in the palace,” a one Bugason reacted.

Regardless of all this though, Bobi Wine commended Odinga for his participation in the democracy of Kenya in his view.

However, the people don’t seem to understand how Bobi Wine apparently preferred a man from a well-to-do family to a ghetto grown man. For many, this looks like the irony of life.
