Bobi Wine Distances Himself From Fake Unregistered People Power IDs In Circulation

People Power headed by the Kyadondo East MP, Bobi Wine went viral a few months ago when the politician and singer himself urged Ugandans to get National IDs to perish out nuisance during the 2021 elections. But as we talk right now, some identified supporters started issuing out unregistered People Power IDs to different people which is illegally accepted.

However, there’s a group conning people in villages claiming they are from Magere, trying to sell out IDs to people claiming that they are official People Power IDs and each card costs between 15,000 to 20,000 Shillings.

This guy identified as Kalanzi Ashiraf and his group stormed Ssembabule district and allegedly sold these IDs to several people in unlawful manner. But the official People Power leader denied those IDs saying that since the movement is not yet a registered entity, they can’t issue out IDs.

“Please note that People Power is not issuing any ID to any person as we are not a registered entity yet.. Don’t be cheated” One of the close sources says.
