Brig Sabiti Shouldn’t Be The New Deputy IGP-Betty Nambooze

Brig. Sabiiti was appointed as the deputy Inspector General of the Uganda police force by president Y.K Museveni.

Muzei succeeded Okoth who was appointed as the new IGP of the police Force after the sacking of Kayihura.

Muzei, okoth and Tumwine the new appointed security minister were appearing at Parliamentary Appointments Committee for vetting

Betty Challenged the chairman of Parliamentary Appointments Committee Kadaga that the appointed deputy IGP Muzei Sabiiti should be passed through.

The Mukono Municipality MP Hon Betty Nambooze alleges Muzei was part of team that raided the parliament during the debating of the Presidential Age Limit last year.

Nambooze claimed that she learnt from anonymous media that Brig Sabiiti was one of the masterminds of the attack on Parliament in September 2017.

In her petition, Nambooze asked the Speaker to “cause a thorough investigation into the character and credentials of Sabiiti.”
