Carl Froch Britain’s world super middle weight champion retires!

The 38-year-old Carl Froch born in Nottingham, United Kingdom announced his retirement from boxing after his last fight against fellow British fighter George Groves which was 80,000 sell out at the Wembley stadium that he easily won cementing his career as one of Britain’s greatest ever fighters winning 33 of his 35 fights.

Carl has won WBC, WBA, & IBF belts in all his shining career he said he is glad & proud of what he has obtained in the boxing but it’s time for him to retire, “I have nothing left to prove and my legacy speaks for it’s self,” Froch said.

He first claimed a World title in 2008  after beating Canada’s Jean Pascal for the WBC title.

Carl Froch lost the title two years later!

It was against the Danish fighter Mikkel Kessler which was his first defeat in his career although he made it up later in 2013, when beating Kessler to claim the WBA title.

His second defeat was in 2011 against unbeaten American Andre Ward.

Although the fans of Froch hoped that he would carry out fights with standing fighters within the division like Kazakhstan’s Gennady Golovkin who called upon Froch to suggest for a bout at Wembley but Froch says he has no hunger anymore.

Carl Froch will be taking on a job as a boxing expert with sky sports and he leaves the sport as one of Britain’s most successful & demotic sports man.

Having seen taking part in several reality TV shows including the advancing show called ‘stepping out’, where he was seen early after spraining his back.
