Catherine Kusasira Says She Is Recieving Death Threats

Band singer Catherine Kusasira has come out to allege that she has been receiving death threats. The Nkola ya taxi singer says that she’s been threatened a couple of times.

She adds that she was even at some point put on gunpoint by these anonymous people around Fairway Hotel in Kampala.

“My life is in trouble. I have been receiving several death threats. I was even put on gunpoint by some anonymous people at around Fairway Hotel. Every day that I move out, I’m always worried for the worst happening to my life,” Kusasira said.

It should be noted that the singer was given military bodyguards by the President some time back. These however proved costly to look after and she ditched them.

Kusasira a few weeks ago came out to reveal she was almost lynched by an angry mob in Arua at the height of the political tensions in the general elections. She added that if it hadn’t been for the soldiers she was traveling with, the worst could have happened.

She further said that she recently sold her Land Cruiser car because people had made it a habit to tell her she’s driving tax payers money. Kusasira also said that she sold this car for security reasons as she was easily spotted by those who could have wanted to harm her.

Meanwhile, she’s gearing up to contest in the EALA parliament on the NRM ticket. It’s therefore not known whether the threats she receives are politically motivated.

Some social media users were however quick to accuse her of pulling stunts. They allege that she’s looking for a way to get to President Museveni and harvest some money.
