Congolese Doctor Who Discovered Ebola Warns Of Deadly Virus Worse Than Covid-19

The Congolese doctor who discovered the deadly Ebola has said there could be another outbreak of yet another deadly virus. The first case of the virus, herein termed as Disease-X is a woman who showed early symptoms of hemorrhagic fever in Ingende, a remote town in DRC. The doctors who quarantined the woman and her two children are still waiting for the results of an Ebola test. Her children were also tested but currently show no symptoms.

The vaccine for the deadly Ebola plus a treatment in case of infection currently exist and have brought down the rate at which it spreads significantly. However, the question at the back of everyone’s head is: What if this woman doesn’t have Ebola? What if she is patient zero of Disease X?

She is the first known infection of a new pathogen that could potentially sweep the world as fast as Covid-19. However, it has Ebola’s 50% to 90% fatality rate and this has got everyone worried. The Congolese doctor, Dr Dadin Bonkole responsible for the discovery of Ebola thinks the threat should be taken seriously.

What doctors know about this new virus;

For now, Disease X is hypothetical; an outbreak that scientists and public health experts fear could lead to serious disease around the world. It is, however, not the stuff termed as science fiction; it is a scientific fear, based on scientific facts.

Many new viruses are emerging and are related to human destruction of wilderness habitats where animals like bats stay. And more outbreaks will come if this habit continues. It is no longer an ‘’IF’’ but a ‘’WHEN’’.

The only current solution is clearly protecting the forests to protect humanity, because Mother Nature has deadly weapons in her armory.
