President Museveni has said that dialogue is the only solution to Uganda’s problems. He said this while presiding over the IPOD summit at Kololo yesterday. The purpose of this meeting was to talk about issues that arise before and after elections. The president alleged that some people have abandoned dialogue much as it’s the best thing to do.

“Healthy politics is like that. When we were still students, we started a new force. In it, our social-economic diagnosis was eventually captured in the four principles of the NRM. The President has been noting that it is not a problem for him to reconcile with the opposition. However, he will not tolerate violence. He said this as NRM was celebrating liberation day.

“For us we have no problem but the only thing we cannot tolerate is violence. I ask all Ugandans to forget about violence. Don’t dream about it because it will not work…”
