Don’t Take Our Silence As Sign Of Weakness – Todwong To NUP

The NRM Secretary General of NRM, Richard Todwong has said NUP should not take their silence as a sign of weakness. He said this while the party was celebrating their win in Kayunga.

“Our silence is not a weakness. They say when mud is thrown at you, don’t remove it before it dries up. We believe the story of Kayunga is getting dry and we can now remove it. We shall never be intimidated by anybody as long as we have the mandate of the people. Nobody will ever play with NRM government.”

Todwong said whether people believe it or not, NRM is the most famous party in the country. So it’s no surprise that they won in Kayunga to the disbelief of many.

“Those who think NRM is not popular should go through our structure and know how heavy we are. Every village, parish and sub-county has 30 NRM leaders. That structure is big enough. We just mobilize them and when we win elections, our opponents get surprised,” Todwong said.

Much as NRM is claiming all this, NUP still insists that their candidate, Nagwedde, won. This is the reason why they are going to court.

According to them, the DR Form results are different from what EC read that named Muwonge winner. In any case, we await to see how this will go because everyone seems to be interested in it.
