Festive Season Not Festive Anymore Due To Covid-19

The festive season is no longer the same since the coming of Covid-19. People are not excited about this because of this whole quarantine idea that came with the pandemic.

People have not been traveling to the village as the norm has always been. Unfortunately, as the situation seemed to calm down, Omicron set in. Now the Ministry of Health is advising people to stay in their homes.

This year is even more tricky because children have to go back to school in just a few days from now. The Ministry of Education slated 10th January 2022 as the starting date for students.

This only means, parents have to set aside school tuition for their children. Obviously, schools want fully paid bank slips regardless of the Education Minister telling them to be patient.

Surely, this can’t leave the enjoyment of the festive season the same. This is because if one extravagantly spends, they will have nothing to use in January or pay for their children’s fees.

More so even the nation is skeptical about being opened now that cases are apparently going up according to the Ministry of Health. The last report they published about cases, positive cases were above 700 cases.

“Results of COVID-19 tests done on 25 December 2021 confirm 743 new cases. The cumulative confirmed cases are 135,091,”

No wonder the festive season is no longer as hyped as before.
