Gen Katumba Wamala survives Assassination Attempt

The minister of works and transport Gen Katumba Wamala has today morning survived an assassination attempt on his life. The general who was coming from his home heading to a vigil was in a black army vehicle with his daughter and bodyguard.

The bodyguard and daughter called Brenda are said to have died on spot.

The unknown assailants were four riding on two black motorbikes according to eyewitnesses.

The general was rushed to Mulago hospital for medical attention.
