Jakana Nadduli, Hajj Nadduli’s Son Found Dead At His Home

On a sad note this morning, former Minister Without Portfolio Abdul Nadduli’s son, Jakana Nadduli has been found dead at his home. The news comes after the latter had just been released from prison where he has been since September 6th.

His family members made the announcement during the early hours of Monday morning. This is according to National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya.

Rubongoya shared a tweet revealing that he last talked to the deceased on Saturday and revealed that he sounded fine. He also revealed that they had planned to meet during the week.

It should be remembered that unknown gunmen arrested the deceased on 6th September traveling in a drone. They kept him in a non disclosed location until September 13 when they arraigned him before court.

He subsequently got charged with prompting sectarianism but later got released. He has since then been home treating the injuries he sustained during his arrest.

Ever since his release, Jakana has only been able to move around with the help of clutches. He told tales of his torture experience during his abduction.

Jakana contested in 2021 Parliamentary elections but lost and had since become a strong government critic.

His father, Hajj Nadduli recently attacked the government over Jakana detention calling it a deliberate and intended move to humiliate his family.
