Kampala Siti Industries To Open New Factory In Namanve

Although 2020 was disrupted with covid causing many businesses to close, Kampala Siti Industries limited is gearing up this year to expand its production capacity by opening up new factory in Namanve industrial park in March.

Managing Director Zulfikar Ali Budhwani says with facility in place, they will be able to employ more people more hence contribute to job creation and country development.

“Although Covid affected all businesses, hindering us from achieving our target for 2020, we remained afloat. We focused on innovation and production of quality products to serve the market. Furthermore, we also invested into new factory to expand our production capacity. We strongly believe when we officially open in March 2021, this will be able to employ 200 workers hence support government programme of job creation, “Ali said.

Ali attributes Kampala Siti Industries Limited growth to conducive investment climate and investor friendly policies ushered in by NRM government.

He however asked government to maintain good investment climate, peace and stability as cornerstone to investment and business growth.

” Besides Buy Uganda Build Uganda Initiative by Ministry of Trade, we wish to applaud President Yoweri Museveni for ushering in peace and stability and good investment policy. The industrialization policy has also enabled investors get land in various industrial parks for production hence job creation, “Ali noted.

Ali revealed this in an exclusive interview at the side line of people’s choice awards in Kampala.

Consumers recognized Kampala Siti Industries limited for the best manufacturer of toilet paper category in 2020.
