Kisoro Kidnappers Demand Shs500,000 Ransom To Release Businesswoman

Unknown kidnappers have taken an 18-year-old business lady hostage in Kisoro district probably to extort money from the family.

Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate identified the victim as Furajah Amiinah a resident of St. Micheal Kayihura B, Rwamwanja Settlement Camp in Kamwenge District.

He added that the suspects kidnapped Amiinah on Thursday evening when she had left Rwamwanja settlement camp to Bunagana in Kisoro District five months ago. She had reportedly been selling a few items in Bunagana Daily Market.

He said the victim on 21/7/2022 left Bunagana to Kisoro Market for shopping and her relatives last heard from her at about 5:00pm that day. They then heard again from her the next day when the kidnappers used her phone demanding for a Ugx 500,000 ransom.

Mukeshimana Bageni 45, a mother to the victim confided to Police that the suspected kidnappers say that they can’t release her until the ransom is received.

Maate said the police is tracking the suspect’s phone since the kidnappers might take Amiinah’s life in default of the ransom’s payment.

The case of kidnap has since then been registered at Kisoro Central Police Station under reference number 12/22/07/2022.

Pastor kidnaps school girl

In another story earlier published by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, a famous pastor in Masinga Constituency Kenya kidnapped his neighbor’s 12 year old school girl during the closing day over unknown circumstances with her parents.

He then hid her in a secret place and demanded a Kshs2 million (approximately over Ugx70,000,000) ransom on her head. The class six girl was heading back home after school, but the evangelist persuaded her into his car promising to drive her home. He eventually turned into a beast and drove her to unknown place about 300 kilometres from their home.
