Kyotera District; Man Allegedly Hacks Lover To Death And Goes On The Run

Kyotera District Police started a manhunt on Friday evening for a man suspected to have hacked his lover to death. Apparently, the deceased also happened to be the mother of his two children, who for unknown reasons, met a fateful death.

The police identified the suspect as a one Dominic Kato a resident of Kyasimbi village in Bethlehem, Kasaali, Kyotera district.

They also identified the deceased as Specioza Nanyonga, a resident of the same village, who was hacked to death with a hoe and other killer tools.

The suspect apparently abandoned the mite in the sitting room in a pool of blood.

According to the police, when they received the news about the murder, they introduced the K9 dogs to the scene. These dogs then led them to Kato’s home located half a kilometer from the crime scene.

At the house, police discovered a white polythene bag with blood stains, a blood stained hoe and another tool. Police believe they used these in the crime.

According to residents, Kato and Nanyonga had started reconnecting after being split for the last three years. Kato had even started frequenting the home of the deceased.

However, Police have not yet established the real motive behind the murder. Police later took the body to Kalisizo Hospital for a post-mortem.
