Lake Albert Boat Accident Left 30 People Dead

It was on Sunday afternoon when a team of divers went to search for dead bodies at Lake Albert. The victims lost their lives as they were travelling on a boat and apparently, the search for more dead bodies has resumed this morning.

But according to the marine police at lake Albert, a boat that was carrying 50 people, including football players and fans capsized on Sunday afternoon and killed more than 30 people on board. The victims were residents of Fofo landing site in Tonyoa Parish Buseruka Sub County Hoima district.

However, the marine police at lake Albert identified most of the victims by names and villages they came from. Among them include Bob, Fisto, Jango, Ayera, Majid Mayaya, Dhebaba, Nyayenga, Omirambe, Bondhe and many others, numerous to list.

On the good side, the survivors were also identified as Emmanuel Ageno 20, Jalum Oakani 22, Sara Maurine 24,Rose Chikawun 18,Kenneth Twesige 20, Madithrwoth Thie 18 and Godfrey Alimula 22, Zawadi Rundi 20, Warom Oyirwoth 27, Mubaraka 19,  only yo mention.

This similar incident happened recently last year at lake Victoria where many people lost their lives.
