Lightning strikes Church In Rwanda And Kills Over 16 People

A lightning strike hit a seventh Day Adventist church at around mid-day on Saturday (10th/03/2018) in the town of Gihemvu in Rwanda near the border with Burundi.

The lightning killed over 16 people leaving many others injured.

Most of the victims died instantly when lightning hit the church in Nyaruguru in Rwanda.

According to sources, two people died from their injuries, and 140 people were rushed to hospital and health centres.

However, reports have revealed that three people are in a critical condition and the rest are getting better.

On Friday, Lightning hit a group of 18 students in the same area leaving one of them dead.
