Madonna Visits Hospital She Funded Through Her Raising Malawi Charity

The United States Pop-star and celebrity Madonna on Monday traveled back to Malawi to witness the celebration of the 1st anniversary of Mercy James Center for Paediatrics Surgery & Intensive Care Located at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Blantyre which was named after one of the 4 children she adopted from Malawi.

Madonna explored the medical facility and was so excited with the services it’s offering, and this center has surgeons who successfully separated the conjoined twins in the Southern African Country, according to Nyasa Times.

Madonna got an opportunity to meet the relatives of the twins, whom she said they went through a lot and that it was awesome to be given hope.

The American pop-star also uploaded a picture on Instagram with her children standing infront of Mercy James Centre.

It’s amazing that people’s lives have been saved at the medical centre and this makes all the difference,’’she said.

Since she first visited Malawi twelve years ago, the American pop star still recalls a long line of history with the Southern African country. In 2008, she adopted David from Lilongwe, after a year, she also did adopt Mercy from Blantyre and in 2017, she adopted Stella and Estere who were raised up from Home of Hope orphanage like David did.

In 2006, Madonna unveiled her charity support in Malawi, whose mission was to raise and support the Malawian orphans and vulnerable children through education, health and community support.

The organization through Madonna has so far managed to help build ten schools and early this year, the American pop-star announced her preparations to build 4 new schools.
