The Ministry of Education and Sports yesterday released the PLE results for the academic year 2020. This is after COVID-19 hampered the whole system for a while.
Social Media was and is still awash with parents celebrating their children’s successes.
It was from here that Mama Fina too enthusiastically thanked her daughter for not letting her down.
Her daughter, a one Barbara was at Taibah international School and scored 10 aggregates.
“I want to congratulate my daughter and thank her for not ashaming me by scoring aggregate 10. I want to thank her school, teachers, matrons and everyone who has contributed to her success. I’m therefore giving her Shs 1M as a reward for the hard work because I didn’t expect it basing on the difficult times of COVID-19 we have been in.” Mama Fina said as she handed the cash to her daughter exchanging numerous joyous hugs.
She also asked her daughter what she wanted to become, the daughter told her a neurosurgeon.
Mama Fina told her to go and enjoy the 1 million with her friends, buying chocolate and sweets.
Funny how a 12-year-old kid is going to buy sweets with 1 million shillings yet many are looking for the same amount to solve all their problems.
The daughter also thanked her teachers and school who relentlessly made sure she accesses all the necessary material helping her to succeed.
We want to congratulate all those who passed their exams with flying colors and tell them that the sky is the limit.
