Media Houses To Hold Another Joint News Bulletin Senstising About COVID

Media houses have come together again to hold another joint news bulletin sensitizing about COVID. The media houses involved include NTV, NBS, Urban, Bukedde and UBC. They will be airing the same news content on all their stations at 7:00 pm in Luganda and 9:00 pm in English. This campaign has been named Act or Perish. They say they are bringing this joint news bulletin together for a good cause.

Currently, there is panic in the nation after the ministry announced a resurgence of Covid victims. Some people have actually confessed that hospitals are full of people with flu and cough and some on drips as well.

“Every hospital is having triple the number of walk-ins with flu and cough. Some are on drips coz of this flu. Countrymen, let’s be careful, wear your mask, wash your hands. Sanitize as much as ya can.” Andrew Kyamagero tweeted.

Even the president has called for an emergency meeting to find a solution to the current Covid situation. Actually, some experts are demanding a second phase of lockdown.

Speaking to the media, Dr Diana Atwine also said lockdown is not ruled out as a solution.

“I think a lockdown is the way to go. Some areas must be locked down unless people really get to observing SOPs,” she said.

So it is for this cause that media houses have decided to have a full hour of sensitization speaking the same language.
