During an interview with BBC, the village councilor confirmed the incident and mentioned that it isn’t the first child to be murdered in this village since the year began, adding that locals have experienced several cases of kidnapping and killing of children this very year.

The village councilor further said this evil mother was the only one at home with her young son by the time she committed the atrocious act.

“Baba wa familia ile alienda shambani kama kilomita kumi na mama ndiye alibaki peke yake nyumbani. Na ndio wakati ambao inadaiwa kuwa alimuua mwanae,” he said.

The incident happened between Friday and Saturday until the young boy’s father returned home on Sunday evening at 6pm and realized his son was missing, which prompted him to confront his wife about their son’s whereabouts.

The woman, who was reportedly holding a grudge against him for failing to pay dowry surprisingly told him to stop asking her anything, claiming he has no right.

The husband went ahead and mobilized residents, who later came in and questioned her seriously, she therefore had to confess her heinous actions.

She narrated how she murdered her son, cooked him and ate him from the bush.
