MP Betty Nambooze And Hubby Celebrate 20 Years Marriage Anniversary

Mukono Municipality MP, Hon Betty Nambooze, today celebrates her 20th marriage anniversary together with her husband Mukasa Henry Bakireke Bazitwale- Bazikube.

The anniversary though didn’t find them in Uganda as the MP is currently hospitalized in the US.

Taking to her social media platforms, Nambooze said that they have enjoyed this 20-year journey together. It has been full of romance, love, peace, patience and unimaginable fascination.

The MP also proceeded to request everyone to join them as they celebrate this wonderful journey. In her message, she added that they have dedicated this milestone to their children.

Equally the day has also been dedicated to the youths in Mukono who are of the same age as her children.

“Today we are so proud to announce that we have made Twenty Years of Marriage. In Love, Peace, Patience and un-imaginable fascination and romance as we enjoy each other’s company and comradeship!

With his permission, ngaamba omulungi wange omu bwati; Mukasa Henry Bakireke Bazitwale- Bazikube, I share his words with you the married and unmarried with a request that you join us as we glorify the Lord who made us custodians of the great Sacramento of holy matrimony.

We have dedicated this year’s anniversary to our children. Some of whom are now married and the young ones who are on their way. Equally, we dedicate this day to the young people in Mukono Municipality in the same age group like our children.”

With the current trend of marriages that never last long, 20 years really feel like an eternity.

Nowadays, news outlets are filled with news of failed marriages and the trend continues to spike. Besides the marriage institution has been eroded along the way and no longer has the value it really carried a while ago.

Not to say that these long-lasting marriages don’t have their ups and downs. But such people who manage to stick together no matter what deserve a thumbs up.

Happy marriage anniversary to the Bakireke’s and hopefully more happy years together for them ahead.
