Muhoozi Ordered To Stay Away From Twitter By President Museveni

The Commander in Chief of the armed forces, President Yoweri Museveni has ordered his son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba to stay off twitter.

In an exclusive interview, Museveni revealed that he held some talks with his son about the recent tweets. Apparently, the president ordered Gen. Muhoozi to avoid involvement in partisan issues in Uganda or other countries.

“If he was tweeting on sports — things which are not controversial — that would not be a problem; but to talk about other countries or even the partisan politics of Uganda, that he must not do,” an unequivocal Museveni stated.

The new general needs to be careful about what he tweets according to his dad.

President Museveni however denied favoring his son in the face of a controversy that almost insinuated a war between Uganda and Kenya.

He recalled a part of his apology to Kenya where he said his son has done so much for the country. Therefore, the president said that this single mistake should not be held against him.

On a note of relief, these reports come as the activity on Gen. Muhoozi’s timeline has majorly reduced over the past few days.

In the last two days, Muhoozi had only tweeted about a planned visit to what he described as his true motherland – Tanzania. And then an apology to Ruto yesterday.

Background; Early in October, Muhoozi sent out a couple of provocative tweets. One of which suggested a unification of Kenya and Uganda. The other, he offered to marry Italy’s next leader.

Muhoozi asked his more than 600,000 Twitter followers how many cows should be offered as bride price for Giorgia Meloni. Giorgia is the right-wing politician expected to be named Italy’s Prime Minister this month.
