Museveni Employs Presidential Advisor In Indigenous Cattle With Salary Of 15M

A letter making rounds on social media supposedly from the statehouse showing that President Museveni has employed a presidential Advisor with a salary of 15M.

Doctor Nassan Tandekwiire has been appointed as the senior presidential advisor on indigenous cattle.

“By copy of this letter, again, I designate Ambassador Dr. Rashid Semuddu as Special Envoy to Qatar and I appoint Dr. Nasaan as senior Presidential Advisor on indigenous cattle with a salary- personal to holder of Shs. 15 million,” the letter dated 31st July 2022 read in part.

This letter has caused very many people especially on social media to wonder whether it is as it is or it’s a prank. The salary of 15M according to them is over the board for what they call a simple job.

However a former NBS Journalist, Solomon Serwanjja without fear said this is not right at all.

“President @KagutaMuseveni appoints a presidential advisor on indigenous cattle with a salary of 15m. Wawooo. Just wawoooo. Your excellency, this is unacceptable.”

Some people however say the appointee is going to earn from his expertise, so what is the issue.

“So you want them to work for free or something… No offense, not like I support him but don’t you think at times you just over exaggerate things … And this person has a family to feed. So giving him a salary is only fair,” one of the tweeps said.

Meanwhile, there is also an assumption that the letter was only concerted by those who want to tarnish the name of the government and the president.

However, as of now, none of the government officials involved in this letter have said anything about it.
