Museveni Promotes And Demotes Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba At Once

President Museveni has today announced a major shake up in the army especially Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s Land Forces. The changes effected by the Commander-in-Chief have seen his son, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba dropped as Commander of the Land Forces.

These changes however have also seen Muhoozi Kainerugaba promoted to the rank of a full military General.

Muhoozi who has been overseeing Operation Shujaa in DRC meant to wipe out the ADF has been succeeded by Major General Muhanga Kayanja. The two together have been in control of this project.

And on being named the new Commander of the Land Forces, Muhanga has also been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.

“H.E the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces has promoted and appointed General Officers as follows:

1. Liuetenant General Muhoozi Kainerugaba promoted to General and continues with duties as Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations.

2. Major General Muhanga Kayanja promoted to Lieutenant General and appointed Commander Land Forces”. A statement issued by the Ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs plus the UPDF read.

This same statement further congratulate the duo on their ‘well deserved promotions and appointments.’

Many have however reiterated that this is a step further in realizing the Muhoozi project by the Museveni regime.

This promotion comes at a time when Muhoozi through his numerous tweets said that come 2026, a revolution is going to take place.

The first son revealed that the old guard headed by his father will have to step aside. They will have to let the youths spearheaded by him take charge of the country.
