Odrek Rwabwogo Warns Those Pushing Succession Debate To Stop

For a while now, reports that Odrek Rwabwogo showed interest in Uganda’s Presidency have been moving around. Other reports said the president’s son-in-law and the first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba were at loggerheads.

In September 2021, photos of youth donning ‘Rwabwogo Presidential Project’ and T-shirts made rounds on social media.

They brought out an impression that the senior presidential adviser for Special Duties plotted to become Uganda’s next top leader.

However, in a Twitter thread on Sunday, Rwabwogo, Patience Museveni’s husband, warned those fueling this motion.

He said the culprits pushing the useless succession agendas are likely to generate a backlash that could reverse the NRM party fortunes.

He warned them to stop this because it is not good for the prosperity of the country.

‘’Every day we wake up & the country is full of noise with empty politics and shallow succession discussions, is a day lost to productive thinking & support to our youth. Those who waste time in these useless online chats and those that support them are an enemy to our country,’’ Rwabwogo said.
