Paul Kafeero And Bobi Wine Are The Best Song Writers – Hudu Hussein

Former Kampala Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Hudu Hussein, has revealed that the late Paul Kafeero and Bobi Wine are the best songwriters in Uganda.

 Kafeero used to do songs known as ‘Kadongo Kamu’ in the 80s before his death and his music is still being played everywhere in Uganda.

However, like any other country, Uganda is also developing so fast in terms of technology, and the new generation also taking over in every department from the old generation.

Bobi Wine is one of the artists in the new generation that is good at writing songs. Before he joined politics, he was releasing music all the time.

After joining politics, he was stopped from performing and also releasing music reduced. However, that doesn’t take away the fact that once he starts writing, the songs he releases are strong in terms of lyrics and the message sent out to fans.

Although Hudu Hussein is a big supporter of the ruling party (NRM), he praised Bobi Wine’s writing skills. But he said there is a big difference between Bobi Wine and Paul Kafeero.

According to Hudu Hussein, Paul Kafeero used to write from his heart and Bobi Wine writes for his survival.

“Paul Kafeero and @HEBobiwine are among the best writers of songs Uganda has ever had. Poetry at its best! The difference between the two lies only in rationale. One wrote from his heart, the other writes for his survival,” Hudu Hussein said.
