Police Retrieves Two Dead Bodies From Lake Bunyonyi

Uganda Police joined hands with residents in Karambo village in Rubanda district to retrieve two bodies of people who drowned and died in Lake Bunyonyi. 2 others managed to survive when the boat capsized on Wednesday.

The Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate revealed that yesterday evening at lake Bunyonyi in Karambo village, Ikamiro parish, Muko s/c Rubanda district, a 15 year old student identified as Moreen Ninsiima of Creamland high school Kabale and resident of the above address drowned and died on spot.

Fortunately, the 18 year old student identified as Robert Ndyomugabe of cream land high school and Milvil Akampulira, 12, Karambo primary school managed to survive because they knew how to swim.

“the cause of their death is not yet established but they however didn’t have safely gears such as life jackets.” Matte said.
