Political Parties Have A lot Of Betrayal – Dr. Miria Matembe

Former Pan-African member of Parliament, Miria Matembe, has said the reason why she is not affiliated to any political party is because of the betrayal they harbor within them.

She pointed out the betrayal she experienced in the ruling party which apparently never left her the same.

“I have my reasons for not belonging to any political party. One of them is the betrayal I received from President Museveni. That betrayal couldn’t allow me to trust any other leader. I however know one leader who would give Uganda direction. I won’t mention him.”

She says Museveni deceived the country about fundamental change where no president was to rule for more than 9 years. She noted that Museveni is the first to rule for 36 years straight without any change.

“No President had ever ruled Uganda for more than 9 years before President Museveni. It is now 36 years of President Museveni. He deceived us about a fundamental change. Now the fundamental change is to rule forever.”

She however noted that the only fundamental change she personally knows is where peaceful power transfer is. However, she has accused Museveni of having an evil plot of fundamental change for this country.

Matembe says the only thing left to do is to pray for this country because everything looks twisted.
