Pope Francis Reverses Stand On Homosexuality, New Documentary Reveals

Pope Francis has made some remarks in support of same sex marriage in a documentary titled ‘Francesco’ recently released. It has come out at a time when the world is still battling with homosexuality as much as some countries approve same sex marriage.

The pope said, like other people, homosexuals have a right to be part of a family. They are equally children of God.

“The church should throw nobody out, or make them miserable because of it”

“Homosexual people have the right to be in a family. Gay people are children of God.” Francis said in one of his interviews for the documentary. “What we have to have is a civil union law; that way they are legally covered.

In this documentary, he didn’t explain the meaning of these remarks but he has always advised parents not to shun children who have identified as homosexuals. Some people have however seen this as a way of approving same sex marriage in the catholic church especially because he said they have a right to a family.

Previously however, Pope Francis condemned this kind of marriage. He had said it deprives children of the real family structure as it ought to be. A family has a mother and a father which is impossible in a same sex marriage. Probably children will grow up thinking this is how it ought to be.

In the Ugandan spheres

This documentary released at a time when our country is still in shock after a former Pastor’s wife decided to marry a fellow woman. Julie Mutesasira abandoned her family to go to Canada in 2016. Photographic evidence recently revealed that Julie married a fellow woman. Uganda has always stood her ground against homosexuality. president Museveni has come out to trash it on several occasions.
