Prophet In Jinja Confesses To Killing Four-Year-Old Girl For Ritual Sacrifice

Jinja Police has said a pastor and his wife have confessed to killing a four-year-old girl in a matter of ritual sacrifice. Apparently, the girl happened to be the daughter of their landlord and over the weekend, they led detectives to two separate locations to recover her body remains.

Prophet Joseph Sserubiri and Felista Namaganda of Deliverance and Healing Ministries in Kakira Market Zone are the two suspects.

They confessed to the detectives that they killed Trinity Nakisuyi Nabirye Zabeela for ritual sacrifice

Nabirye went missing from her parents’ home in the same zone on 30 September and the case had threatened to go cold. However, at the residents insistence, police made the couple persons of interest in its investigation into the crime.

Later, the couple led detectives to Wanyange village on the shores of Lake Victoria where they recovered Nabirye’s skull. After that, they went to a sugarcane plantation in Kakira where they found her decomposed torso.

Police said they arrested the couple on December 4 after tracking the pastor’s phone and blood stains recovered from a room he rented before the disappearance.

“For two months since the girl disappeared, police have been on the ground tracing for her whereabouts with the help of her parents. Our investigations indicate that the couple sacrificed her, a crime they confessed to,” Kiira Region Police Spokesperson, Mr. James Mubi said.

Mr. John Mulodi, father of the deceased and landlord of the culprits declined to speak with reporters.

Mr. Mubi consequently appealed to the public and local leaders to first find out where and why a person hails from to stay in their area before being accepted to be part of the community.
