Residents From Bungoma Did This To Reduce Boda Boda Theft In The Area

Residents of Bungoma County in Kenya said that boda boda theft has been on the rise in their village something that forced them to stop operations during the night due to fear that they might be robbed. One of the businessmen who invested in the boda boda business said that his 3 motorcycles were stolen on three different occasions. He tried to report the matter to different police stations but unfortunately no action has been taken as the police kept saying investigations were ongoing.

The residents said that what forced them to seek for other alternatives was a recent incidence that a boda boda cyclist was murdered and his motorcycle stolen. The residents sought the services of a popular herbalist known as Dr Mugwenu after consultations on which strategy they would use to make sure the heinous activity that was raising in the area was wiped away. 2 of their SACCO chairman met the herbalist who assured them that their testimony won’t be published on news websites and feeds. Within the same day two men were spotted being attacked by a swarm of bees as people followed. The angry mob wanted to lynch them to death but they were to act as an example. The swarm of bees did not attack the crowd but it only concentrated on the two culprits. They disclosed that they stole the motorbikes which they sold in Uganda at a cheaper price.

This rogue business had a chain of people who the police remained investigating on. Since that incidence, motorbike theft cases in the village have reduced.
