Simon Muyanga Lutaaya Sent To Prison Over A 153M Debt

Simon Muyanga Lutaaya a host on one of the local TV station has been sent to kirinya prison for six Months.

At the beginning of the year, the high court of Jinja issued a warrant to arrest Muyanga over a debt of legal fees.

Muyanga’s incarceration was due to failing to pay a debt of over 153 Million resulting from an election petition.

On Monday, Simon was sentenced to six months by Jinja Grade I Magistrate, Samanya Kasule.

Lutaaya, a former FDC aspirant for Bulamongi Constituency Member of Parliament seat, lost an election petition to the ruling NRM candidate Kenneth Lubogo.

It’s also reported that Muyanga’s property could be sold to settle the bill.
